Dawn A Journal Page By Lynne Moncrieff

11:00

 Hello

This page is from a That's Crafty! Journal which I continue to work in although I have shared a few completed pages previously. It is about layers and textures from the different scraps gathered together with the inclusion of a dried leaf, rusted safety pin and primitive stitches. There also happens to be a hint of gold from the beautiful That's Crafty! Interference Gold Paint.

Supplies

Instructions

Working on smooth cardstock, Walnut Ink (dissolved walnut ink crystals) and Pearl Inks were applied to create an inky, slightly grungy background and to this, stamping one of the Scribbled Words stamps with Jet Black ink. This panel is then adhered to the journal page.

Gathering piece of teabag paper, staining with walnut ink and dry brushing with Interference Gold paint, this would be stitched to a piece of re-cycled packing paper again with walnut ink staining before stamping another of the Scribbled Words stamps. I like that the piece of packing paper has an almost waxy feel to it which provided a grungy effect to the stamping.

Another gathering of papers and muslin scrap with walnut ink and then a piece of paper with marks made with Black Pearl Ink, attaching this scrappy gathering to a rusted safety pin.

The Affirmation was stamped with Jet Black ink onto stained rice paper, attaching with a staple.

Using the A4 Circles Stencil, a circle was cut from a piece of deli paper which had been used as underpaper to catch That's Crafty! Black Pearl Ink. Layered to this circle, a dried leaf, stitching it to the circle. A touch of Interference Gold paint was added to the leaf.

Thank you for visiting this post.
