Good for the Soul by Helen Chilton

I love this tulip stamp from PaperArtsy - it's got lots of elements and is a great size for this tag.

For my background I've used a bit of scrap paper that I was rolling my brayer off onto!

I've added some extra colour in with Distress Crayons (you can use anything you've got).

I've stamped the tulip onto card and painted with Frescos.

I've then cut it out and added some extra colour to my tag.

To build up the background a bit I stamped some text in coordinating colours.

I wanted the cut out image to sink into the background more, so added stencilling in Texture Paste.

To finish off I've stamped the butterflies and text again and layered them up onto the tag.

I enjoyed using my scrap paper for the background - it's easy to tone in the colours of the stamping and it gives you a starting point. I was going to colour the Texture Paste but decided I liked it as it was.

Hope you've enjoyed this project - see you next week!
