Imagine Beauty by Dorthe Hansen

11:00

Yes imagine beauty, even on a wet autumn day dear friends. I did that when creating this tag, to my That’s Blogging Crafty! Monday Post.

I started with the fantastic white/greyboard tag and directly on the white side
painted the beautiful Teal, thinned with a little water. Also the embellishments - flower and feathers were painted with the same Teal but not thinned so much!!

After the tag had dried, I first stamped with the scripture stamp, from Texture Stamp Set 1, here and there, using Archival Ink Coffee and then I stenciled the Circles Dinky stencil in the sides of the upper tag and in the lower tag, I used  Dinky stencils: Enchanted and Believe, the words Imagine and Beauty, using texture paste for it all.

While left to dry, the feathers were stamped (Archival Ink - Coffee ) with another of the stamps from the Texture Stamp Set 1. I used the feather stamp, to give details to the greyboard feathers.

The flower was given details using one of the flower stamps from Electica by Scrapcosy, which fitted perfectly in the middle of the greyboard flower. I doodled a bit with the white Multi Surface paint and added dots with a Ranger Stickles, to give a little shimmer - also the feathers had tiny dots of beautiful shimmer. J

As I wanted to add more texture I cut a long thin piece of fabric from my stash, dyed it in thinned Chestnut Brown and after dry, I wrinkled it to sit around the flower and adhere to it with hot glue gun.

The tag now dry, was sprayed around the stenciled areas with water thinned Chestnut Brown, I usually use Infusions for this but tried the paint and it worked beautifully!!

Flower was now adhered to tag and I painted a stem using a brown Posca. In a bare spot on the tag I also used the flower stamp and the feathers were adhered as leaves, after cutting their stems a bit shorter. I made the tiny bow from the same fabric used for the flower and adhered to the left side bottom tag. Last thing to do, was tie a tiny piece of the fabric through the hole in the tag.

Thank you for taking a look, dear friends - I wish you all, a lovely Monday.

Hugs and love

Dorthe
