Dream - Believe - Wish by Dorthe Hansen

Good morning dear friends, I’m here
with my Monday post for That’s Crafty! today showing how to use one of my
favorite white/greyboard tags # 8.
I first painted it with diluted
Shimmer Paint Pink all over on the white side of the tag. When dry I used the
Distressed Harlequin stencil, on the left side panel, dapped on with Chestnut
Brown Paint and dried with a heat tool. After dry, I smeared over with white
paint, using my finger.
Then the beautiful Big Flower stencil
was used, onto the ¾ lower tag and stenciled using Archival Ink Coffee. From
Lynne’s Affirmations Set 1, I stamped the wonderful eyes above the stenciled
flower also using Coffee Archival Ink. I hand drew the nose with a brown Fine
Liner and detailed the eyes, with a black Fine Liner.
Then the 3 words were stamped onto a
piece of scrap cotton and adhered to the “face”.
The flowers are created using Tim
Holz Tattered Florals Die together with Donna Gray’s stamped flower - all of
the fabrics got a light spray of Infusions Blackcurrant, dried and attached
with a rhinestone from a piece of old jewellery.
On a piece of brown paper bag, a
leftover from an earlier creation, I stenciled a little spot from the Distressed
Harlequin with Texture Paste and after dried, it was adhered to the upper left
side of tag, together with old lace died with the Blackcurrant Infusion.
A little pink glitter was adhered
using Multi Purpose Craft Adhesive, again to one flower and to the lace.
I finished my tag of dreams,
believes and wishes, with a piece of Sari Silk on top.
I hope you enjoyed watching it. Thank you, so much, for visiting, it
means a lot to me.
Hugs from
Dorthe, xx

Beautifully embellished Dorthe but the eyes have made it extra special for me. You have made them open and come to life even more than the original image. Your chosen colours give it all a touch of vintage, so lovely.

ReplyDeleteDorthe, there is a stunning sense of drama with the placement of the eyes, as though they are watching over everything.
ReplyDeleteThe colours are so delicate which is maybe why the eyes appear even more dramatic. I love the contrast.
