Brand New Storage and Flowers Galore! by Fliss Goodwin

Hello!
That's Crafty! is on The Craft Store today with 2 shows at 7am and 11am available to watch if you missed them. Believe me, they're worth a look (or a second one!) for the amazing new storage plus the most gorgeous floral stamps and new masks from the ever talented Melina Dahl.
Step by Step:
The kit to make the holder comes with instructions but it's really easy to put together if you lay the sections out in place first before assembling the pieces. I glued it all together with That's Crafty!Multi Purpose Adhesive which is my go to glue for sticking MDF Surfaces together.
Once the holder was glued together I gave all the surfaces a coat of black gesso. I then took Melina's new and gorgeous floral mix mask and added a pattern to the 3 plain sides with sand texture paste. I followed this with a coat of evergreen multi surface paint all over everything.
The next step was to create the crackle which I did side by side as the Surfaces are quite large and I didn't want to let them dry too much by doing it all at once. I gave the side a coat of Crackle Glaze, over the top of the Txture Paste and once it was tacky painted on 2 shades of Multi Surface Paint - Lime and Magenta adding rough vertical stripes.
I repeated this process on the back and second side and just the crackle without the stencilling on the whole of the inside of the box.
I decorated the fence front section in the same way as the insides, using white gesso, with Yellow and Grey Multi Surface Paints. I was aiming for a rustic picket fence look. I touched up the base and edges to make sure that all surfaces were covered.
I then stamped a lot of flowers and leaf sprigs on smooth white stamping card with black ink and heat embossed them with clear powder. I painted them with a mix of Satin Inks and Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and cut them all out.
I embellished the box with the flowers and leaves, climbing some up the fence section to add to the rustic look.
There you have it and hope it inspires you to have a go! Although meant as a stencil holder if you watch the shows on The Craft Store, you'll hear Jo and Janice discussing lots and lots of other ideas and uses for this very clever holder.
Supplies:
Have a great weekend and hope it's a crafty one.
