When I have worked in Journals I tend to share the complete book but the Journal I am working in at the moment is one which I pick up now and again to work in as I try to have one Journal which I take my time to work in over time, no rush to complete.

This particular journal is of course from That's Crafty! It is one which has a variety of greyboard, white/greyboard and kraft cardstock with MDF covers.  

For this page I have incorporated stamps from the Scribbled Words sets. With the Scribbled Words I wanted inky blots to appear on the designs and for some of the stamps such as the small stamped circle, those wee dots can be inked  up to add marks to your art without inking up the complete stamp bringing texture.

Although the journal pages are perfect for working directly onto, I had already a stash of prepared cardstock.

The cardstock was prepared with Pearl Inks, Walnut Ink and dry brushed areas of PaperArtsy Frescos then adding more of the Pearl Inks as splatters then adhering to the journal page.

Fussy cutting a butterfly from the Craft o' Clock sheet and then gathering bits of this and that which at this stage I never really do know what will and will not appear on the final page.

A small Scribbled Words circle. 

From the A4 Circles Stencil the smallest circle cut from under paper (walnut ink and Pearl Inks) this will be placed inside the stamped circle.

Onto scrap of eco dyed paper Liquid Acrylic Wax was applied and once dry making quick marks with Pearl Inks layering to scrap of silk sari ribbon onto which I stitched primitive cross stitches, attaching with Tiny Attacher.

A dried botanical is the finishing touch along with the button to bring balance to the composition.
