Vintage Kraft Postcard by Tracey Fairgrieve
11:00
Hello everyone,
Thursday's here again, time to share some That's Crafty! Creativity!
There has been so many marvellous makes using Kraft Card online recently
it reminded me of a project I started last December and never quite finished.
Here's those abandoned elements and what became of them..
Stippling three different colours of paint through a stencil onto Kraft Card
I placed both card and stencil still together through an embossing machine.
Onto gesso'd card painted with Pink Shimmer I stamped and
embossed lots of roses, cut each one out and scrunched them up.
The ribbon was stamped onto a strip of gesso'd kraft card and painted in
Pink Shimmer. Glued onto a piece of lace, the strip is sewn onto the background.
The edges of the background have been machine sewn and torn down
to the size of a postcard. A sentiment stamped onto the stained paper of a
used teabag (it's so on trend!!) was also sewn onto the card.
Layering up those scrunched up flowers, stamped Kraft card leaves add
to those layers along with a gem stones and a button.
With the background glued onto a sturdy greyboard Postcard
it makes an alternative way to display or give as a gift.
Thank you for sharing your time.
As always I look forward to sharing more That's Crafty! Creativity
with you all same time next week.
Creative wishes
Tracey xx

A stunning creation of shabby chic awesomeness Tracey. The textures and details on there are really beautiful and love the clever stitching of the stamped ribbon strip to the lace.

Really glad you like it Fliss, I had planned to use this for a Birthday card but Christmas got in the way then it got packed away, glad I found it and all the elements were still together. It turned out a lot differently to how I originally planned xx
DeleteOh my gosh Tracey! You know this is right up my grungy, distress-loving street! I just love every wonderful detail and especially the stamped and stitched tea bag. How fun! And yes, so on trend! Hugs, Autumn

DeleteYes dear Tracey, I really wish I created this myself- it is stunning !!
ReplyDeleteThe layered roses, and embossed background, so gorgeous, and love the use of the ribbon, you of course painted it so lovely, looking almost real, in your photo. This is love at first sight, dear friend. :-) <3 <3 Hugs, Dorthe

Thank you Amanda, I find it difficult at times to layer things up like this. I end up shifting it from end to end before i'm happy enough to glue it into place xx
