Kaily by Amanda Southern

Hi Everyone
Who's got sunburn? That'll be me then!!! Hope you have all had a fabulous sunny bank holiday weekend we needed that one didn't we? Inbetween getting sunburnt I did managed to play with one of the fabulous new character stamps from AALL & Create designed by Fiona Paltridge.
Here's What I Did:
Starting with a blank piece of white card cut to 6" x 6" I knew I wanted white space with this one so I just built up an area of colour. To do this I used a brayer to add a section of yellow paint onto this I did a small gelli print using the 3" x 5" Gel Press and an AALL stencil and then added it over the yellow. I then stencilled the red on again through an AALL stencil. I added another gelli print this time using a 3" circle Gel Press. I then loosely doodled around the circle with a black pen and added a little more stencilling in black. I then stamped Kaily onto the background and again onto another piece of thin card as she was to be coloured, cut out and pieced over the stamped image. She has been coloured using coloured pencils.
To add further detail and to ground her I added some Dina Wakley washi tape and some random looking machine stitching. Stamping the sentiment that also comes with this stamp set finishes it off. It was then matted onto black card and added to a 7" x 7" white card blank.
Here's What I Used:
Archival Ink Pads - Black & Carnation Red
3" x 5" and 3" circle (from set) - Gel Press Plates
AALL & Create Stamps #84 - Kaily
AALL & Create Stencils - #6, #13, #19 & #20
That's Crafty! Multi Purpose Paint - Yellow
Dina Wakley Paint - Turquoise
Dina Wakley Washi Tape - #2
Sewing Machine
Black Card
Card Blanks
Fiona has designed several of these Characters in the latest release of new stamps from AALL & Create and I love them all because they are a bit different.
Have a fabulous week and I will see you all next Tuesday
