What I Did:

I used a That's Crafty! white/greyboard panel, this comes with the hanging holes already done for you so you don't need to go hunting for your Crop-A-Dile for it!

I covered the panel with a mixture of blue and purple That's Crafty! Multi Surface paints. These were applied with a brayer until I was happy with the result.

The next step was to use a mixture of yummy That's Crafty! stencils for the tree and the stars, I used some of the new That's Crafty! texture pastes for this. The black stars were stamped with a stars stamp from the same set the sentiment comes from (Lynne's Affirmations Set 1) using black Archival ink.

I added a little bit of sparkle to the stars with a Spectrum Noir pen, the glitter you get off these pens is incredible.

The finishing touches were to add a sentiment which I embossed with white embossing powder. I doodled a little heart to hang from the tree with a white Posca pen and coloured in with a red multi surface paint.

I used a black Distress Ink pad to edge along the panel and a black charcoal pencil to provide a little depth to the tree. I also used some twine to hang the panel with but you can use anything you have to hand.

I'm quite pleased with the way this turned out as it has a real bleak Wintery feeling to it which is just perfect for this time of year ;)
