Earth and Air by Tracey Fairgrieve

Hello Creative Friends

Todays That's Crafty! blog post is a little different than usual
no step by step picture account YAY!! I here you cry.

Due to me working on four projects at the same time I was lost in thought
and forgot to take process pics along the way until it was time to add the final details.
Silly me! So today i'm sharing two of my four projects using Donna's Girls
new stamp designs by Donna Gray released last week.

First let me introduce my *Earth* Tag

.. how it came to be..

1: Paint an MDF Tag in white Gesso and cover with Lime Multi Surface Paint.
2: Push Texture Paste through the Lace Border stencil.
3: Dab Texture Sand Paste inside the inner circle.
4: Paint a wash of Mustard Yellow around the tag, adding gold to highlight.
5: Add single threads of stranded cotton to create interest.
5: Stamp Cara onto watercolour paper (I use Ameleie from Pink Pig) and colour
with a mixture of soluble and water resistant pencils.
6: Create sleeves using rice paper, stamped, embossed and glued on using matte medium.
7: Layer up the image adding a dark wash around her to raise her from the background.
8: Add flat back pearls and gems for that final detail.

My *Earth* Tag is complete..

Now may I introduce you to my *Air* Tag

.. how it came to be..

1: Paint an MDF Tag in white Gesso and cover with a mix of white and black paint.
2: Push Texture Paste through the Lace Border stencil.
3: Dab Texture Sand Paste randomly around the tag.
4: Paint a wash of Silver Multi Surface Paint around the raised areas.
5: Add single threads of stranded cotton to create interest.
5: Stamp Amelie onto cartridge card and colour with water resistant pencils.
6: Create a torso for the head and stamp and emboss using stamps from the Claire set.
7: Add a graduated wash to the torso and layer up onto the tag background.
8: Add flat back pearls to highlight those embossed areas.

My *Air* Tag is complete

As you may have gathered I have been creating *Element Tags*
I hope you can join me next week when I will be bringing you
*Fire and Water*

Wishing you a wonderful day and
creativity for the weekend ahead.
