Live and Shine.... by Amanda Pink

HI Everyone

Welcome to my weekly DT post.
Today I am sharing a mini piece of art that I've created with That's Crafty's Craftyboard clipboards and some of AALL and Create's fabulous new washi tapes.

I began by adhering two That's Crafty Craftyboard clipboards together and painting them white.

I then covered the clipboard with AALL and Create's washi tape #4 and cut away any 'excess.
Across the centre of the clipboard I adhered a length of AALL and Create's washi #1

For the black slim panel that runs down the centre of the clipboard I used a That's Crafty Craftyboard bookmark. I simply cut the bookmark down in size, rounded the corners with a nail file, painted it black and added two washi tape words from AALL and Create's Washi tape #6 at the top and bottom of the panel.

A few white paint splatters livened up the black area in between the words.

The focal feature that sits on the black slim panel is a sum of a few parts:

2 woodchip circles, the larger of the 2 painted white and stamped with one of Seth Apters I.O stamps, the smaller of the two painted red.
A black cross which was taken from part of AALL and Create's washi tape #1. I simply adhered the washi tape 'Cross' to card, cut it out and adhered it in the centre of the red circle.
A greyboard hex nut from That's Crafty Greyboard 'large cogs' sheet, painted black and white and  adhered to the centre of the black cross.

The stacked layers of the focal feature add some dimension to the finished clipboard.

I guess a clip board wouldn't be a clipboard without a clip of some sort so it seemed only right to add one - in this case a Tim Holtz ideology hinge clip.

Products I used:
AALL and Create Washi Tape: #1 #4 #6
Tim Holtz Ideology Hinge Clip
Scissors
Paper Trimmer
White gem bead

I hope you have enjoyed your time here today and that maybe I've offered some 'washi tape' inspiration.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
Happy creative wishes
stay safe
