Hello

So often, I reach for stamped images as the focal for projects but I found myself drawn towards Craft O'Clocks sheet of Butterflies, in a variety of colours and sizes. This particular butterfly was instant choice for me as it would work with the watercolour I had previously prepared with Walnut Ink and Pearl Inks. On this tag I incorporated dried wildflowers but for those of you who own a die-cutting machine (that excludes me!) could substitute a die cut wildflower.

Instructions

The surface I would be using for this project a That's Crafty! outsize tag. I worked with the MDF variety but they are also available in Greyboard.

To this, I adhered cardstock which had previously been prepared.

Onto 300 gsm watercolour paper, I applied walnut ink crystals along with Pearl Inks. After adhering, abrading the edges.

I have become a big fan of the Pearl Inks which come in a range of colours. My go to colours are: Black, Bronze, Copper, Tree Bark.


I continued to gather elements to bring to the tag.

From underpaper coated with Multi-Surface Paints and Walnut Ink, cutting a circle using the A4 Circles Stencil.
