Today I thought I'd use the rather fabulous That's Crafty! Multi Surface Paints on some canvas. The paints can be heat set and hand washed so don't use on anything you will need to put in a washing machine, but once heat set they will withstand any spillages or showers.

First things first you need to do a bit of prep by putting a barrier in your bag to stop anything leaking through to the other side, I use some hardboard with a plastic bag over it and put it inside the bag.


Then its a ver y simple process of using the water spray and the paints, drying in-between  layers.



I then add a selection of texture and background stamps, I'm using Versafine Claire ink which I will heat set I find that it can withstand pretty much everything although I haven't put it through a washing machine.


Next I took a scrap of calico fabric and stamp the images I wanted to use, I then ironed interfacing on the back of the fabric to stop it fraying and make it easier to appliqué, if you don't have this you can paint a layer of pva or mod podge for a similar effect.
