This was a sample for a recent Hochanda show where That's Crafty! launched more stencils and stamps to the range designed by my talented team mate Melina Dahl.

Here's What I Did:

I started by covering each tag with white gesso and over that I randomly brayered layers of paint using a small 2.25" brayer building up the colours till happy with the effect. Over that I stencilled through a different mandala mask choosing a different colour for each, you can see that my favourite Teal colour makes its usual appearance, I stencil the paint through using a piece of Cut and Dry Foam.

Onto a piece of stamping card I stamped 3 different mandala stamps with Versafine Clair ink, once the ink had dried I coloured each of the mandala's using Zig Clean Colour Pens and then cut them out to add to the tags. Onto the same stamping card I stamped each of the words, the word Live comes from the word believe, and cut out and again added to the tag. To add a little more detail I added some spots of paint with my finger and doodled around them with a white gel pen along with some white pen work around each of the mandala's.
