Hello

The PaperArtsy Mini, designed by Seth Apter, is another of his Mini designed which I feel has a wonderful earthy energy to it.  As I had prepared circles from the That's Crafty! new A4 circle stencil, I wanted to work with them in conjunction with this stamp, adding elements I gathered from the garden to emphasize an earthy quality to the collage.

Instructions

I already had the paper panel prepared with white Gesso, walnut ink, black paint and touches of Paynes Grey and Sabilo Watersoluble Black Pencil which I adhered to a MDF panel.




I knew when selecting this stamp that I would be incorporating some circles. The circles are the smallest size on the new A4 circles stencil which I stencilled onto teabag paper, stained with walnut ink and then Acrylic Liquid Wax applied .

With the watersoluble pencil, the Seth Apter stamp was extended in particular areas and the circles were defined, pulling the colour away to blend into the background.


I have lots of leftovers/scraps which I tend to find a home for eventually. Here, a strip adhered to lower edge of panel, before adhering, forming small holes as a detail.


On each set of The Language of Trees stamps, there are single words. I selected three words to add to this collage, stamping onto scraps of painted papers, cutting into word tiles, edging with the black watersoluble pencil for definition.
