A Rainbow of ATC's by Amanda Southern

 Hi Everyone

I hope you don't mind but this week I am sharing another of my recent Hochanda Show samples. These showcase the latest additions that expand That's Crafty! Craftyboard range and these ATC pieces are so fun to play with.

When making for the shows the deadlines are tight so often you have to come up with quicker ways to create and this collection is one of those quick makes, however I really enjoyed making these and love the result.

Here's What I Did:

That's Crafty! have produced a collection of 8 Craftyboard ATC overlays (I have used 6 of them) and as a separate pack you get the 8 ATC Craftyboard blanks. I wanted all the overlays to be black so that the colour really came through and I coloured them all using a black watercolour marker, using a marker allows you to get into all the details and colour all the inside edges, I used a black Kuretake brush pen. You can use many mediums to colour them as the Craftyboard is so versatile.

I wanted a rainbow colour effect behind each one and for this I used Distress Ink Pads and a blending tool and also the detail blending tool. The Craftyboard is perfect for applying Distress ink to and it blended really easily. The colours I used were Barn Door, Marigold, Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans & Wilted Violet. I added the Distress inks using different patterns but all with the same collection of colours.

There is the addition of some stamping, using versafine Clair, on a few on them which are all from That's Crafty! stamps sets (listed below). The Feathers that I also gave the rainbow effect to are from one of the ATC Overlays that I didn't use of the 8 in the set. Once the backgrounds were finished I glued on the overlays with That's Crafty! craft adhesive. The final touch was to just add a single word to each one which I did using words from the sentiments on the Natural Gatherings Stamp set. I heat embossed each of the words I wanted in white superfine embossing powder onto black card, cut out and glued onto the ATC.

Here's What I Used:
Versafine Clair - Noctourne
Black Card
Have a great week and I will see you all next Tuesday

Love
