Remember This..... by Amanda Pink

Hi Everyone

Welcome to my Thursday weekly DT post of creativity.
This week I am sharing a postcard size Mixed Media Art Panel that I have created using all the usual arty suspects: paints, mediums, stamps, stencils and dies.
The design of the Art panel is akin to one I have shared before called Be True but this version differs in colour and is a lot more 'painty' and 'grungy'!

Working on mixed media paper to create a master board I applied a selection of paints roughly and randomly using both a brayer and a palette knife.  No rules, no plan, no technique I just followed my creative muse.  Once happy with the layers of colour and the texture the paint had created I cut a panel to adhere to a That's Crafty! White/Greyboard Postcard and a That's Crafty! ATCoin.
I added some textured stencilling and some stamping detail to the background panel

and just some stamping to the ATCoin which is one of the elements of the focal feature. The other two elements of the feature are layered die cuts. Both are crackled and dabbed with paint

as I wanted to make the cracks look like they were just beginning to form aswell as make the elements appear more 'rugged'.

I embellished the feature with hex nuts and when in situ it gives the panel some dimension.

To finish off I added a few words courtesy of a 'roughed up' quote chip.

  3. A really brilliant panel, Amanda - a more summery feel than your traditional grunge... I love the "rugged" white elements, and the freshness combined with the blues and greens is just lovely. Perfect use of the silver metallic accents too.
