Live Your Life in Colour by Amanda Southern

Hi Everyone
I have been having a play in my art journal for this weeks post
Here's What I Did:
Playing is my small Dylusions journal I started the background by randomly brushing on colours of Dylusions paints and Dina Wakley paints. Over that I then stencilled all the circles using white paint, once they were dry I then stencilled over using several colours offsetting the coloured stencilling from the white to give a shadow effect or bump effect as you will hear it called.
I then drew out the curved banner across the page and painted out using white gesso. Over this I then wrote my words and then coloured in around them using a mixture of alcohol pens and coloured pencils.
I then drew out the curves around the outside and then painted them out again, this time using black gesso, over this I doodled in the white using a Posca white pen.
Onto a separate piece of stamping card I stamped the Lost Coast Design Showgirls stamp twice, cut them out and coloured their outfits using translucent PaperArtsy Fresco Paints and then glued onto my journal page.
The final words were typed out on my old typewriter and again glued onto my page.
What I Used:
Lost Coast Designs Stamp - Showgirls
That's Crafty! 8" x 8" Stencil - Dot Circle
Posca Paint Pen - White
Black Sharpie Pen
Typewriter
Have a great week and I will see you all next Tuesday

The Dina style has really shone through in this design Amanda and you replicate it so well from the balance of those bright colours to the black and white striped edge. It's created party time for those showgirls and a marvellous sight for us all to see!! Magnificent..
