I am back playing with Lin Brown stamps again this week. This card is
similar to the ones I shared recently but this time using Distress Inks for my
background rather than Infusions. I do love this series of stamps by Lin.
I began with a cut to size piece of white card (for an A6 card I
usually start with my card cut to 9 x 13.3cm to allow a matt of 9.5 x 13.8cm). I
splodged Mustard Seed Distress ink onto my craft sheet and spritzed with water
before placing the card in a few times. I partially dried with kitchen roll
before repeating with Rusty Hinge ink. I dried fully with my heat gun and then
flicked water over the card to reactivate the inks and blotted to remove.
Once dry I stamped with Archival inks using the long grasses, small
dots, stars, DREAM and script stamp from ELB30. The grasses on the left are
stamped twice – slightly offset in two complimentary colours. Some of stamping
is secondary stamping (where most of the ink is removed just leaving a subtle
tone the second time around). The quote stamp is from another Lin Brown set
ELB29.
See you next week!
