She Settles Into Autumn by Lynne Moncrieff

 Hello

It was another of those coming together moments, no forced planning on my part.  I happened to have the PaperArtsy LPC005 set laid out and beside it, as I was organising dried leaves/flowers, seeing them side by side formed a thought in my head for incorporating the stamped face and the leaf in a project.

I often build layer upon layer but I was content to allow the background to breathe, the inking marks of the Pearl Inks and the drips of walnut ink which formed on the prepared cardstock forming almost a landscape on which to rest the face and dried leaf.

Instructions

This started with a prepared sheet of cardstock (300gsm) painted with Pearl Inks and Walnut Ink (Walnut Ink crystals dissolved and decanted into spray bottle).

After stamping the PaperArtsy stamp, it was cut to fit the size to adhere to a greyboard ATCoin. With a dip pen and the Black Pearl Ink, I added quick journaling to the edges which were left blank, due to the nature of the shape of the actual stamp compared to the ATCoin.

Onto a wee scrap of leftover painted cardstock, I simply added marks with Pearl Ink. This along with the face ATCoin and a dried left (saved from an eco cooking pot and dried flat) are all that would appear on the round.

Before adhering the ATCoin, again with dip pen and Black Pearl Ink, I added journaling,

tucking the dried leaf sprig behind over the scrap of marked cardstock and finally layering the ATCoin.

Thank you for visiting.

Wishes

Lynne
