Be Happy by Amanda Southern

Hi Everyone
I have a card for you this week in my favourite DL size using some of the new PaperArtsy stamps designed by Tracy Scott.

Here's What I Did:

As always for me I started with my background and this week I thought I would play with a selection of colours of That's Crafty! Flat Matte Sprays. I selected a piece of mixed media card to spray onto but to avoid spray going where I didn't want it I first sprayed a small amount onto a piece of acetate, you could also use a large acrylic stamping block for this, I then pressed the acetate onto the card to transfer the colour, this allows me to build up the colour where I wanted them.  I kept repeating this until I was happy with my background.

Onto that I then stamped a selection of the scribbly flowers onto the background using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink pad. I then stamped them again onto a post it notes and cut them out as I needed to mask them off for the next stage. Once I had masked the flowers off I then stencilled over them with cut and dry foam and paint to add further interest to the background. Once that was added I removed the masks from the stamped flowers.

Over this I then stamped the more solid flower stamp. To be honest I was going to make a square card but it didn't seem to work in that shape so cut it down to fir a DL card. Once cut to the size I wanted I doodled around the flowers with a white pen and added some paint flicks by shaking the Posca pen over the piece. I decided to frame it all by machine stitching around the edge of the background. I then added my sentiment by Katzelkraft by stamping it in Versamark and heat embossing with white embossing powder before matting it onto black card and adding to a DL card blank.

Here's What I Used:
That's Crafty! Flat Matt Sprays - Orange, Rose, Saffron and Tomato (the green is the colours mixing together)
Versafine Clair - Nocturne
PaperArtsy Stencil - PS126
Katzelkraft Stamp Set - Carpe Diam
Posca Pen - White
Post it Note
Sewing Machine
DL Card Blank
Have a fabulous week and I will see you all next Tuesday
Love
