Each day we have a post from a That’s Crafty! Design Team member and a Relics and Artifacts Ambassador and the blog posts will go live every day at 11.00am GMT and 6.00am EST.
We hope you will join in the collaboration each day, as there will be two very special prizes! One lucky winner will receive a Gift Certificate for £25 from That’s Crafty! and the other lucky winner will receive 3 sets of Relics and Artifacts Matte Resin Craft Blanks of their choice, from Relics and Artifacts!
Here’s what you have to do for a chance to win:
1. Visit both blogs each day and leave a comment.
2. Become a follower of the That’s Crafty! blog.
It’s that easy! The winners will be picked at random on Tuesday 2nd May 2017.
It's Day 4 of our collaboration with the Relics and Artifacts Ambassadors and it's Nikki's turn today with a really beautiful project.
Hi
everyone. I was so excited to be able to play with some Relics and Artifacts
products for this week’s collaboration. I selected one of the Flaming Hearts
(which are in a number of kits) and added some Dresden Trim in Gold and some
Peridot Bohemian Jewels. My That’s Crafty! Surface is the main oblong from the
rectangle kit. It is designed to be used in the landscape formation but I
turned it around for this project.
You can
probably spot some Finnabair influence here… I have recently attended a Finn
workshop so it was great to use her style to create this project.
I began
by painting the surface with black gesso and then adding some patterned paper.
I ended up covering most of this – although that wasn’t the original plan! I also added some additional stamping with
That’s Crafty! Texture stamps.
I then
began my arrangement of objects – with the Flaming Heart as the focal point.
There is a combination of metal pieces, buttons and paper flowers. These were
all adhered with Finnabair’s 3D Matte Gel. I left this to dry overnight and
then painted the outside border and ephemera with black gesso.
Once dry
I took my Prima Art Alchemy Metallique paints and began painting – blending the
colours until I was happy. I added some gilding wax over some of the textured
surfaces ad added one more Peridot Bohemian Jewel on the heart.
It’s my That’s Crafty! team mate Lynnes turn over on the Relics and Artifacts blog today. Please hop over to see her fantastic project.
Nikki
