The sun is out, while writing this , so wonderful, it is.
My Monday post called Shine, is doing exactly like the sun , Shining !!
I started with a panel rounded corners, spraying with Infusions Sleight Blue,
and then going over a few places with White paint.
Then I used the Dot Mandala stencil with Light Texture Paste - only a corner
in upper left and lower right corner of the panel.
When dry, I painted loosely using the stencil again, with Teal and Lime paint, mixing
with Metallic Pearl.
I stamped the dragonfly wings on craft paper and copy paper,
painting them with the same 3 colors used for the background,
fussy cutting them after drawing a body on the copy paper stamp.
Also a flower from the Funky flowers together with a long stem, were painted using these 3 beautiful tones.
When all dry, I went over the stenciled corners, this time, using the wonderful Gloss Gel,
the dragonfly and flower got a heavy layer too and when all dry and shiny, it was adhered to the panel on top of a length of Sari silk, the dragonfly on top of the stem too. I stamped, "if only for a moment " and wrote "shine"on old paper scraps, tore them out and adhered to panel. Missing a leaf, I drew one myself directly onto the panel. The leaf, flower and dragonfly, were all shadowed around the edges and the panel too, using a black Sharpie and a piece of metal thread, was formed to hang the panel from a hole made with my Crop-A-Dile.
This almost finished my creation, only I wanted the flower center to shine, too and adhered faux rhinestones.
Thank you for following me to here, the sun is still shining beautifully and I will leave you with the materials listed below.
Hugs and love
