Nurturing Nature A Journal Page by Lynne Moncrieff
11:00 Hello
As I slowly work in a That's Crafty! Journal, I thought I would share another completed page. Within the journal, this particular page now completes the journal spread for the page I shared recently HERE. Although not particularly visible in the photos, the Pearl Inks and the Interference Gold paint, bring life to the journal page, lifting the flat, earthy colour palette and yet their shimmer is subtle so as not to deflect from the nature theme of the spread.

Instructions
Onto the journal page, first spraying walnut ink (powder/crystals dissolved with water and then decanting into spray bottle). To this, adding very small amounts of Pearl Inks and then quickly misting with water. This is allowed to air dry.
To the lower corner, a very subtle stencilled pattern using the Dinky Stencil Bricks Circle with Gesso but removing most of the gesso before applying through the stencil.
To bring layers and texture to the journal page, tea bag paper was stained with Walnut Ink and before layering the torn pieces, stamping Scribbled Words with Jet Black ink.
Continue the layering, this time applying more Walnut Ink to a Craftyboard circle and the addition of Interference Gold Paint to the circle, topping with one of the Nature's Gatherings stamps, stamped onto scrap cardstock with Jet Black Ink.
Text from The Language of Trees stamps, simply stamped onto scrap cardstock (stained with Walnut Ink).
Small areas of Multi-Surface white paint were applied to the journal page with a palette knife with the paint also being dragged down the piece of paper which the Craftyboard circle is layered onto. To bring cohesiveness, a white gel pen was used in some areas, actually over the stamped Scribbled Words.
Thank you for your visit.
Wishes
Lynne
