Efilumps Never Forget by Amanda Southern

Hi Everyone
This week I have at last inked up the recently released Eliflump Elenazinski Art stamps by Paperartsy. I love an elephant and these are so darn cute and I also especially love the sentiment from one of the sets so had to use that too.

Here's What I Did:

My background starts as a gelli print from a recent gelli printing session I did. Onto my chosen print I brayered on the blue paint and then laid over the That's Crafty! Flourish stencil and removed the paint through the stencil with a baby wipe this leaves the background to show through where you have removed the paint. I then, taking another That's Crafty! Stencil, Leaves, I masked off just one of the leaves with masking tape and added the leaves this time stencilling paint through the stencil.
I then set about stamping all the elements for my card, I stamped onto a similar gelli print and coloured each one in using wax based coloured pencils. I love the effect you get over the acrylics and the painted surface allows the wax based crayons to blend so easily.

I then set about fussy cutting out each of the elements. If you hate fussy cutting then this isn't for you but I find something very relaxing just cutting out things I think it takes me back to my childhood where me and my friends would sit around the kitchen table, each of us armed with very dodgy and child friendly scissors, cutting loads of images out of magazines to stick into scrapbooks at a later date. I then just put them all together to create my card. Everything was stuck down using That's Crafty! glue. I stamped the sentiment using a stamp platform as this helps me get it straight. I scribbled a border around the image to finish it off and added some white highlights with a white gel pen. Then mounted onto black card and added to an 8" x 8" card blank.

Here's What I Used:
Acrylic Paints  I used Paperartsy Fresco paints but most work on the gel plate
That's Crafty! Stencil 8" x 8" - Flourish
That's Crafty! Stencil 6.5" x 7.5" - Leaves
All Stamping done using Distress Archival Black Soot from the set of 4 inks HERE
Coloured Pencils Wax Based similar to these HERE along with the blending oil HERE
Uni Ball  Fine Liner Black
Signo White Gel Pen
8" x 8" Card Blank
Hope you have a fabulous week and I will see you all next Tuesday
Love
Amanda X
