Easter Bunny by Samantha Read

Hello, it's the Easter Bunny time of year again and I think this bunny stamp is one of the cutest I have ever found and it's so fun to use.
For this make I've kept things quite clean and simple and didn't really use many items and upcycling is always a good thing to do!

What I did

I started this project with an empty glass jar, I gave it a couple of coats of white gesso then a couple of coats of Ivory paint. I used 3D Gloss Gel with lots of different kinds of glitter and bling to cover the bottom, giving a little shine which lifts the whole piece. I added some Leaf Green Pearl ink splats for a little contrast. The bunny was simply stamped on card and coloured using watercolour paints and Prismacolour pencils before being adhered in place. To add a little detail/texture to quite a plain finish I took a Gelato and drew short lines in different directions and then smudged with my fingers. I finished the jar with some string and a coordinating flower at the top and some Glossy Accents on the eyes, nose and heart.
