This week I am sharing a collage, featuring the beautiful That's Crafty! Dinky Stencil, Fleur.
Selecting a watercolour paper from the Mixed Media Paper/Card Kit, I wanted to achieve a rich in texture collage.

Instructions

First stop, preparing the watercolour paper. I liberally applied walnut ink (dissolved crystals) with a large, soft brush, not a wash but saturating the paper, allowing to slightly dry before spraying on Flat Matte Spray Rose. Now, ultimately, this was all but obscured but because I am random in my application of the following layers, I like to have the initial colours laid down, whether or not they might actually peek through.

Gesso was generously applied and before it had completely dried, a generous application of Texture Paste. At the point when it was nearly dry, I started to bend the panel, to form cracks. At this stage, I lightly applied Rose, with a brush, to highlight the texture.

Onto a piece of handmade paper, the beautiful Fleur was stencilled with Texture Paste, once dry, dipping a small, soft brush into the Rose and Walnut Flat Matte Sprays, highlighting areas of the stencilled designs.

I happened upon a stained piece of handmade paper which I layered onto the flower.

The Affirmation, stamped onto lightly stained paper with the word "secrets" stamped a second time, a safety pin attached to this fragment.

Finally, smaller, torn pieces of eco dyed rice paper and a rusted washer, adhered to upper left of collage.
