A Happy Place by Samantha Read

Hello! This week I'd like to share with you a MDF round I made for the That's Crafty! Hochanda shows in March, I can't resist a happy house image and a moon!
What I did
I started with the 6in MDF round and added texture using a couple of stencils, one for the sky area and another for the ground, and gave it a couple of coats of white gesso and then created the background sky by blending some multi surface paints and stamping. I painted the green grass and added stamped details by stamping on to tissue paper and adhering with PVC glue - the tissue paper becomes transparent when dry - a great method for adding details to a textured surface. Next using some greyboard sheets I painted the moon using interference paint, the house was painted, adding stamped details and finishing the windows with glossy accents to make them shiny. To finish I added some text, inky splats, star sequins and ribbon and beads for hanging.
What I used
That's Crafty! Interference Paint - I used blue
That's Crafty! Multi Surface Paint - I used; Bright Blue,Teal, Lavender, Lime Green, Orange, Mustard Yellow, Purple and Lime.
That's Crafty! Pearl Ink - I used; Leaf green, Blue, Red and Yellow
(From my stash; beads, ribbon, tissue paper and sequin stars).
I do hope you like it, see you next Wednesday,
Sam xx
