Everything has beauty........ By Amanda Pink

Hello Everyone
Welcome to my Thursday weekly post of creativity
I have a tag to share with you today featuring the one flower from That's Crafty's Flower Collection Set 3 that I have yet to use in the projects I have shared so far using this fabulous stamp set designed by Melina Dahl. After spotting the stamped image on my work desk amongst a pile of 'bit's yet to be used' I thought I would 'grunge' it up and use it in this weeks project
The background of the tag is the result of a mop up. I'd been doing some braying and had some paint left on my glass mat so in a bid to not waste the paint I spritz it with water and pressed a piece of white card over it just like you would if you were doing a gelli print using a gelli plate. Result!
The full print is just shy of A4 in size so I used only a section of it for my tag.
I added some stencilling using That's Crafty! Light Texture Paste through an AALL and Create Stencil.
Once the paste was dry I then repositioned the stencil to roughly paint the stencilled paste
For a touch more detail I added some stamping using a couple of the stamps from That's Crafty! Textures Stamp Set 2 with Versafine ink.
Now for the flower....
I wanted to 'grunge' it up a bit so taking the pre stamped flower I fussy cut it from its surroundings and roughly applied white gesso to the flower head. This obviously covered all the stamped detail but that wasn't a problem as you will see as you read on. I dried the gesso with a heat gun holding the gun close to the gesso so it would blister and bubble to create some great texture.
Then using my finger I caught the 'raised bits' of the textured gesso with Mermaid Lagoon Distress paint. Once dry I re stamped the flower head detail that I lost when I applied the gesso. I also stamped another flower, painted it with Mermaid Lagoon Distress paint and re stamped in the same way.
I adhered the painted flower to the tag with That's Crafty! All purpose Adhesive, then
manipulated the petals of the gessoed flower with my fingers to give a sense of dimension and movement when adhered to the painted flower already 'in situ'.
The centre of the flower is embellished with a paint skin and eyelet
and the tag is finished off with a few words courtesy of Tim Holtz small talk stickers
