Welcome to my turn to post, as Monday has luckily
showed up again.
I started this winter wonderland creation,
using a greyboard panel. It was painted with Multi Surface paints -Teal mixed
with White and Metallic Ice Blue. After dry, I stenciled the Bare Tree stencil,
using Distress Oxide Iced Spruce, left to dry and in between, run the butterflies
through my Big Shot using Sizzix Embossing Folder Paisley.
They were painted with the
mixed Teal and White, dried and Ice blue gave the detail of shine. The wild
flowers Bits and Pieces, were also painted with Ice Blue all over and then I added Crackle paint to the center
of them and also to the background panel, in a few places to create texture.
Onto the tree, now dry, I also smeared crackle paint to the trunk.
After dried, I added the Teal paint
to the background crackle, wiped it off, added again and repeated till I was
satisfied with the result. The flowers and tree trunk had a drop of Antiquing
Cream added to the crackles, which also after some seconds, was wiped away with
a damp cloth.
White glitter was added to the butterflies
and flowers, using the Multi Purpose Craft Adhesive as binder and left to dry
Onto the tree - I added details with
both white paint and thinned Chestnut Brown to create a shadow effect. I love
the Snowflake stencil and it was used to create light spots onto the panel in
some places using the new Texture Paste.
After all had dried, butterflies and
flowers were also given detail using the brown paint and a fine liner. They
were adhered to the panel, with the Multi Purpose Craft Adhesive. I used two “berries” from my stash and wound
metallic flower thread around to form the feelers to the butterfly. Lynne’s Affirmation was stamped onto
a piece of brown paper bag from my stash, cut out and the perimeter lined with
the brown fine liner.
To create a winter landscape to the
bottom panel, I found a piece of white old lace, cones I glittered with silver
and another silvery “branch” all from my stash. If you don`t collect cones like
I do, you can also create texture and winter landscape, using the remnants from
the Bits and Pieces sheets. The tiny rests from flowers and leaves, look
amazing after having been painted white, glittered and stacked along the bottom
panel.
A piece of Sari Silk finish the
creation, after making a hole in the top, to maybe hang the panel.
Thank you friends, for visiting and
for being with me to the end of my post –
To all of you a wonderful new week.
Hugs and love
Dorthe
