I did say there would be lots of hearts featuring
over the coming weeks!
This week, an ornament featuring one of That’s Crafty’s
MDF hearts.
Supplies
Distress Paint – Spun Sugar and Broken China
PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics – Antartic
and Blush
Jewellery Tools
Jump Rings (substitute with Tim Holtz Idea-ologyJump Rings)
Chain (substitute with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Link Chain or Lace Chain)
Extras:- Beads and wooden frame
Instructions
Apply the Translucent Embossing Paste to the MDF
heart with the Long Hearts stencil, this is for both sides.
Once dry swipe on a mix of the paints, aim for a
shabby appearance. Also apply the paints to scrap piece of cardstock and wooden
frames. (For the cardstock I applied the paint with a baby wipe as I wanted
only a hint of colour.) When dry, stamp Adore and My Heart, cut into word tiles
with edges inked and apply Liquid Glass.
For the wooden frames, onto one frame stamp Messy
Writing then apply Liquid Glass.
Before adhering the frames and words, create holes
in the heart. Now, adhere the frames and sentiments and to complete the heart,
attach chain and various beads.
The heart is ready to be displayed.
