This
week I am sharing a second sample made for That Crafty’s recent HOCHANDA
shows.
Now
this was tricky to photograph because I applied lots of the beautiful That’s
Crafty! Pearl paint which I wanted to try to capture in the photographs.
You
know I like my wee narratives! The two
girls are sheltering beneath a beautiful blossom during a summer’s day
rainfall, clutching hands as they shelter and sharing their secrets with only
the butterfly to hear their sweet thoughts.
Supplies
That's Crafty! Bits and Pieces Greyboard Embellishments: Funky Flowers, Butterflies
Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic: Antarctic, Blush, Blue Oyster
Charcoal
Black
Watersoluble Pencil
Palette Knife/Old Plastic Credit Card
Extras:
Scrap paper, Collage image (Red Lead)
Instructions
Prepare
tag with Gesso before applying chalk acrylics with a scraping technique. Begin to add stamping. Continue by applying more paint, this time
including the Pearl acrylic, in the same fashion as the first layer, adding
more stamping and repeating until reasonably satisfied. I say “reasonably” because I am never, ever
satisfied!
With
the same paints, paint large and small butterflies and flowers. I also painted some of the pieces popped out
from the embellishments.
Stamping
was added to some of the greyboard embellishments.
Create
a large flower from the large flower head and two stalks. Top it with the large
butterfly.
Fussy
cut collage image. Adhere all to tag,
embellishing girls with the painted greyboard.
Stamp
Affirmation onto scrap paper (this was deli paper which had Gesso and a hint of
gold). Adhere to where the two stalks
meet.
Create outlines with charcoal and watersoluble
pencil.
Until
next time,
Wishes
Lynne
