Hi Everyone
If anyone knows where the last week went can they let me know as that one has just passed me by. With very little time this week I have a clean & simple card for you using stamps from Jane Davenport's recently released stamp collection.
Here's What I Did:
The girls are all part of a much larger stamp but I wanted to use them as separate stamps to allow them to fit in the die cut slide mounts. I die cut the slide mounts from mixed media card, this was using an old Sizzix Bigz die from my stash, as it cuts out the centre of them I just stamped on this part. These stamps are all clear stamps so once mounted to an acrylic stamping block placement is easy as you can see exactly what part you want to stamp. I then decided to have another go at colouring them with watercolours using the Art by Marlene bright and bold set, this is as I am trying to improve my watercolouring techniques. I still added a little pencil work at the end to add some shade.
Once coloured I popped the images back into the slide mount frame and held them in by rubbing all purpose craft glue into the cut marks on the reverse. I then added them to the card using 3D silicone glue to add some depth. I added the sentiment, this is from another of Jane's sets, to finish off the card. All was then mat and layered onto black card and added to an 8" x 8" card blank.
Here's What I Used:
Jane Davenport Stamps - Girl Group (which will be back in stock soon) and Mad Confetti
Art by Marlene Watercolours - Bold & Bright
Blendable Coloured Pencils similar to Spectrum Noir Colourblend
Black Card
Sizzix Slide Mount Bigz Die
Have a fabulous week and I will see you all next Tuesday
Love
Amanda X
