This
week, I am sharing one tag from a tag book project.
This
tag, extensively features PaperArtsy products: stamps, stencils and Infusions.
This
tag would have been a That’s Crafty! mdf or white/greyboard tag substrate but
the mdf tags were used for the covers of the tag book and I was conscious of
the extra bulk of working with them for the inserts, that is why I used a
Ranger tag – by way of explaining myself!
Supplies
PaperArtsy Stamp Sets: ELB30, 31, 33, 34, EEA02
Ranger Manila Tag #10 and Smaller Tag (substitute with That’s Crafty! MDF or
White/Greyboard Tag if not making tag part of a tag book)
Extras:- Mop-up/under papers, leftover pieces from other projects (stencilled elements
with PaperArtsy ESC stencil)
Instructions
Apply
Gesso and Grunge Paste to tag, working randomly, creating texture with the Gesso
and hints of stronger texture with the application of the Grunge Paste. Once dry, apply Infusions, misting generously
with water, allowing colour to drip down tag. Lay aside to air dry (I prefer to be patient (!!!) and allow for air
drying)
Stamp
various ELB and EEA, with Tuxedo Black ink onto the tag. Lay aside for the
moment.
The
smaller tag I worked with was a leftover from a project - already stained and
stamped. You would simply follow much of
the first steps onto a smaller tag.
Onto
mop-up and under papers, stamp leaf and textural elements. Vary the papers you work with to create
interest. Begin to layer them onto the
smaller tag. To this, either layer
leftover pieces of stencilled papers (yes, I do actually save such pieces!) or
add stencilling with Grunge Paste. On
this tag, the stencilling is a text stencil and mesh style stencil (all
PaperArtsy ESC).
Adhere
this tag to the larger tag. At this
stage, decide if more layered papers or stamping onto the larger tag, are
required – your eye will lead you with
the balance of the composition.
Thank
you for your visit.
Until
next week,
Wishes
Lynne
