here today with a funky monkey from Katzelkraft, isn’t he just a cutie?!
What to do:
Apply
a thin coat of Gesso to the larger That’s Crafty! MDF heart, dry thoroughly.
Stamp
the monkey onto the heart using black Archival ink and then proceed to smear a
selection of Gelatos around the monkey.
Place
a Dinky stencil over the Gelatos and start removing some of the colour via a
moist baby wipe gently dabbed through the stencil.
Next
step is to colour in the monkey using a selection of Distress Markers, add some Stickles to his belly for a little bit of bling.
Stamp
randomly on the background with some Carabelle stamps.
The
2 smaller hearts were painted with a red Fresco paint, stamped with a
Katzelkraft circles stamp, edged with Stickles and the fab Tim Holtz sentiment
added…..appropriate I thought!!
Mount
the smaller hearts to the larger one, stamp the Carabelle stamp under the
monkey so he has something to ‘sit on’, then draw a couple of black lines so it
appears he’s holding the small hearts, use a white pen for the little
highlights.
