That's Crafty! Surfaces Craftyboard Circles
That's Crafty! Medium White Gesso
That's Crafty! Medium Walnut Ink Crystals (substitute with Walnut Ink Powder)
That's Crafty! Multi-Purpose Craft Adhesive
That's Crafty! Multi-Surface Paint: Black, Grey, White
Tim Holtz Distress Archival Ink Pad Stack - Black Soot
Extras: feather, scraps of muslin, found paper and black cotton thread
Instructions
To prepare the background, it was a matter of applying Walnut Ink (crystals dissolved in spray bottle), lightly misting the paper with this before applying the Multi-Surface paints and areas of gesso. At this stage, picking up another sheet of watercolour paper to press down onto the paper with the media, almost working as a mono print. This will be laid aside to apply more media to later but what it does, it creates lovely texture on the first sheet of watercolour paper.
Onto Craftyboard Circle, white Gesso was applied and to this, the Black and Grey Multi-Surface paints, misting with water.
Onto scrap of rice paper (which was from That's Crafty) stamping words with Black Soot and more stamping features in the form of three circles, this is the smallest circle from the Nature's Gatherings stamp set. Little scrappy pieces were added, piece of found paper, muslin stained with Walnut Ink and a primitive stitch added for detail.
Grungy dots were created by partially inking up the circle from Scribbled Words stamp set.
Thank you for visiting.
Wishes
Lynne
