Inky Flower by Lynne Moncrieff
11:00 Hello
For this collage, I wanted a fluid, inky feel to the background panel also echoing in the AB Chipboard flower.
Supplies
That's Crafty! Clear Stamp Set Lynne's Scribbled Words Set 2
That's Crafty! Medium White Gesso
That's Crafty! Medium Texture Paste
That's Crafty! Medium Walnut Ink Powder
That's Crafty! Multi-Purpose Craft Adhesive
That's Crafty! Surface 8"x8" MDF Panel (substitute with 6"x6" panel)
That's Crafty! Surface Craftyboard Circles
That's Crafty! Pearl Inks Black, Bronze
AB Studio Chipboard Flowers
Tim Holtz Distress Archival Ink Pad Stack (Vintage Photo)
Instructions
Onto the panel, white Gesso was applied with small areas of Texture Paste. To this, randomly stamping the large circle from Scribbled Words stamp set and then almost obliterating this stamping with more white Gesso. Distress Re-inkers were applied, allowing to air dry.
Once dry, Pearl Inks were added in Bronze and Black before laying aside to air dry.
There was much more success with colour saturation in working with That's Crafty! Pearl Inks in comparison to the Distress Re-inkers.
Turning attention to the chipboard flower, with dip pen and the Black Pearl Ink, creating scribbly, loose lines and adding hints of Tea Dye Re-inker.
A Craftyboard Circle was covered with watercolour paper prepared with Walnut Ink and Bronze and Black Pearl Inks
onto which the chipboard flower was layered.
Thank you for visiting this post.
