In the Round by Samantha Read

Hello, this week I'd like to share a sample I made for the That's Crafty! January Hochanda shows, who would have known back then just how popular ATCoins would become and how wonderful the That's Crafty! ATCoin displays are for showing off your collection.

What I did

Firstly I prepped the display unit, my top tip would be to paint your shelves before adhering in place. I began with a couple of coats of white gesso and some bits of torn paper for a little texture and then as you can see I painted and added details using some of the dinky round stencils, also some texture paste through stencils too to add a little contrast, finally some paper flowers from my stash were painted to coordinate and some chipboard embellishments and the shelves finished the display.

I used various methods on the ATCoins but kept them all the same colour scheme as the display, I used old book pages, stencils, stamps, texture paste and chipboard embellishments.

What I used

From my stash - old book pages, paper flowers, sticky gems and star sequins. I coloured the stamped images using Prismacolour pencils

I do hope you like it, see you next Wednesday,
Sam xx
