Changing The Colour by Fliss Goodwin

Hello!

This week I have a duo of all occasion cards to share that show you can get a different look simply by changing up the colours. Can you see my subtle hint to a certain royal event coming up very soon now?

Step by Step:

These cards are really easy to make too although they may not look it due to all the details.

I first took the gorgeous feather stencil and used this directly on my 2 square card blanks, White gesso on the kraft card and black gesso on the white card.

I then added some splatters using watered down paints - Sandstone, Chestnut Brown and Black Multi Surface Paints.

My next task was to prepare my embellishment panels, choosing to create them inchie size so I cut 6 kraft and 6 white. I then stamped on them with a variety of small elements images from That's Crafty!'s sets. I stamped with brown ink and black ink on the white, heat embossing with clear powder. I then stamped on the kraft using black and heat embossing with clear powder on 3 of the inchies and stamping with embossing ink on the rest, then heat embossing with white powder.

I added the inchies to black mats and glued the panels in place on the cards. I stamped my chosen text on white and kraft card, again adding black card mats and stuck these on to finish. As I said earlier, simples!

Supplies:

Have a great weekend and see you next week.
