Relax we're all Crazy by Amanda Southern

Hi Everyone
Well it's been one of those weeks again this week when crafty time has been against me so I have quite a simple card for you this week using one of the new Carabelle Studio border stamps that was a must have addition to my collection.

I have created a one layer card that covers both the front and the back so I can show this complete stamp.

Here's What I Did:

First thing was to stamp the bird border stamp across the card blank and then mask it all off using masking gum. When that was totally dry I created my background using a mixture of Distress Oxides and Distress Inks. I used a piece of A4 acetate that I die cut a large circle from I then patted Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide onto the acetate and added light sprays of water to it, moving it around with a large paint brush. I then laid the acetate, Oxide side down onto the card blank to transfer the Oxide. A quick blast with the heatgun dried this off. I wiped clean the acetate and laid it back over and through the circle that I had cut I blended Scattered Straw and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks blending with a stencil brush, I lightly softened the colours into the sky. Doing it this way means that the 2 processes do not contaminate each other.

When all the ink was dry I removed the masking gum and coloured these fabulous birds using waxy coloured pencils blending the colours using paper stumps and blending solution. A Tim Holtz snarky sticker finishes it off.

Here's What I Used:
Carabelle Studio Stamp - Des Oiseaux sur un Fil by Alexi
Distress Oxides - Tumbled Glass
Distress Inks - Scattered Straw & Spiced Marmalade
A4 Acetate
Paper Stumps
Card Blank

Have a fabulous week and I'll see you all next Tuesday
Love
