Funky Floral Artist Trading Coins by Fliss Goodwin
11:00
Hello!
I have another batch of those rather addictive artist trading coins to share this week as I challenged myself to create a set using all of the floral mandala stamps in Melina's fab new set which are of course perfectly sized for the coins.
What I Did:
I stamped each of the mandala designs 2 or 3 times on complimentary colours using scraps from my box of plain gelli prints and some of my ever useful ink spray overflow sheets, some of which are now reduced to mere scraps but are perfect for the central areas of the images.
I then cut the images out for layering up and assembled the floral mandalas to give plenty of dimension. I added extra colour where necessary using Kuretake Zig Clean Color markers and then added sparkle with glitter glue.
I painted up the coins with multi surface paints that toned with my flowers, spritzing lustre spray on some then glued the flowers on with dimensional adhesive.
You'll notice that the image of woman has crept on to one of the coins and I did this by stamping her on spray overflow paper and trimming closely round the left side of the image. I glued her in place on the coin and added the central flower so that it appeared to be in her hair.
Here are some individual close-ups so that you can see them all better.
