Dream by Fliss Goodwin
11:00Hello! I have another tag to share this week which has a background that I liked so much that I really struggled to cover it up with anything. Hope you like what I did.
What I Did:
My substrate is one of the new long tags made from greyboard which are a lovely size for quite a lot of creations and I first applied texture sand paste through my favourite mandala stencil to add a layer of lovely texture.
Once it was dry, I got to work with some ink sprays, starting of with Flat Matte Sprays in the new Autumn shades of Blueberry, Ochre and Sage. After this I used some Lustre Sprays, choosing Aqua and Lilac.
Can you see why I didn't want to cover it up? I think it gave a rather cool antique look which I might have to try on a box or something that doesn't need anything else added to it.
I made a floral decoration using the new decorative flower stencil which I stencilled onto my current go to surface which is ink spray overflow sheets. I used a pink and blue one which had a mix of Bluebell and Rose Flat Matte Sprays and stencilled with Magenta Multi Surface Paint.
I cut 2 flowers out and shaped them with a large embossing ball tool. I glued them together and added some dots of liquid pearls. I stamped part of one of Lynne's Word Flowers on a further overflow scrap and cut this out, going around the edges with toning paint. I glued the embellishments on and tied a scrap of toning recycled sari silk ribbon through the top to finish.

Oh Fliss, it is so very beautiful, and yes, a gorgeous background, which could have been left like that , so stunning a texture, and color mix. But also beautiful now, highlighted by your lovely flower , butterfly and word in the lilac tones. Hugs Dorthe, xxx
ReplyDeleteFabulous background, lovely on its own but a fabulous way to showcase your flower

Gorgeous tones and texture on your tag , Fliss and its easy to see why you struggled to add to it , though your flower n tiny butterfly were a good choice.
