In The Round Winter Wonderland by Samantha Read
11:00
Hello. Here as promised is my finished triptych. I finished all the individual rounds with some sequin stars and sticky gems to give them a cohesive look and some wire decorated with beads to hang.
Below is the third and final round.
What I did
I began by giving the MDF round a couple of coats of white gesso and then randomly some Pink, Blue and Lavender paint, leaving a little white space, then applying the sprays both on the paint and in the white space. Using the Dinky stencils and Texture Paste I added the snowflakes and leaves details, giving both texture and contrast. I created a little background detail by stamping snowflakes and leaves directly on the round and colouring some of the snowflakes with watercolours. The snowman was stamped on white card, coloured with watercolours and adhered in place. I used a glue gun to hold the three rounds together, the trickiest part was getting the rounds in place whilst being upside down!!
