Believe by Laura Holland

Another Hochanda sample and this time a very quick and simple make, using a That's Crafty! MDF Chunkie as my base.

Firstly, I constructed the Chunkie using That's Crafty! Multi Purpose Glue and then I painted the whole Chunkie with black gesso.

Next, I scraped texture paste through the 13Arts Script stencil and when it was dry, I painted out a largish circle in black gesso and then painted over this with the Lilac Sparklers Spray (it doesn't show up very well in the picture unfortunately).

All the chipboard pieces were painted with Rainbow Color and the word 'Believe' has a top coat of 3D Gel on it too. To get the circles lighter on the round piece of chipboard, I just painted over them with a wet paint brush and dabbed off with a piece of kitchen roll.

Supplies used:

That's Crafty! Surfaces MDF Chunkie
That's Crafty! Texture Paste
That's Crafty! 3D Gloss Gel Medium
13Arts Script Stencil
13Arts Chipboard - Aqua Flora and His and Hers
13Arts Rainbow Color
That's Crafty! Sparklers Spray - Lilac
That's Crafty! Black Gesso
That's Crafty! Multi Purpose Glue

  1. This is terrific! Laura . Love the contrast between the black and white and also between the matt of the gesso and the sparkle of the spray. Wonderful arrangement of well chosen embellishments . tfs x

  2. Wonderful Laura, the frame of striking white text makes the circles , watch and word pop on the black ground , with the lilac sparkle behind.
