Happy Monday That's Crafty Creatives!

Today's project is all about being zen …with That's Crafty! Dinky StencilsStamperia and Katzelkraft stamps and Tim Holtz Distress Oxides.

I started by stamping the zen monkey from the Katzelkraft Les Jungles stamps twice onto white card, with Paris Dusk Memento Ink. I coloured both with Squeezed LemonadeWilted VioletPicked Raspberry and Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxides. I cut some of the features from one of the coloured images to layer up on the other with foam pads to create a 3d image.

For the background I wiped Wilted Violet and Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxides onto my glass mat and spritzed with water, then dabbed an A6 piece of white card over the top several times then dried with a heat gun. I then added Picked Raspberry, spritzed with water then drying and finally adding Squeezed Lemonade.

I randomly stamped the abstract stamp from Stamperia's Vintage Library - Labels with the Uncharted Mariner over the background. I then stencilled through That's Crafty! Long Hearts Dinky Stencil with the Picked Raspberry. I finished by brushing the edge of the background card with the Uncharted Mariner.

To create a focal point for the monkey, I cut a circle and positioned it just above the centre of the background card and gently swirled the Uncharted Mariner and Wilted Violet around the edge of the circle. I glued the layered monkey into the circle with That's Crafty! Multi Purpose Craft Adhesive.
For the final touch I stamped a frame and 'Happiness' word from the Vintage Library - Labels stamp onto white card, cut out and coloured lightly with Distress Oxides and layered onto the card with foam pads.

A great abstract card to start the week - with a smile and a touch of happiness! Have a great week.
