Fairy Garden ATC Shrine by Tracey Fairgrieve
12:43
Hello everyone, I do
hope you are all keeping well?
Today I am sharing an
ATC Shrine I made a few weeks ago as a
DT sample for That's
Crafty's 6th October Hochanda Show
Here are those Fairy
Garden ATC Shrine *How to do's..*
I first coated the
outer frame of the Shrine with White Gesso then using the Dinky Bubbles Stencil
I pushed light texture paste through it, when dry I scratched off some of the
circles so I could apply a good amount of red paint around them. The circles have
been tidied up around the edges using a white Posca pen. This will represent
the cap of a Toadstool.
Onto the back board
of the shrine I drew the stalk of the Toadstool adding a door and grasses for
detail. Gluing the side pieces of the Shrine together I carefully repeat the
scenery using a mixture of Shimmer and Multi Surface Paints continuing the
theme. Mixing with the sparkler sprays has given a watercolour effect and added
a touch of Fairy Magic.
Dots and detail was
added when the shrine was glued together with greyboard toadstools bits
and pieces coloured with posca pens then glued into place.
A double Toadstool
and two Fairies have again been delicately coloured with Posca pens and
glued into place with a thin coating of 3D Gel applied all over the Shrine to
seal.
Apologies for the
lack of process photos as I was unwell whilst making the last DT samples but
hopefully the few photographs I do have you can understand how it was all
created.
One thing you cannot
see is that the detail inside the Shrine actually continues
on the outside but I
will leave that to your imagination.
Thank you for sharing
your time
I look forward to
sharing more of mine with you all
same time next
Thursday.
Take Care and Stay
Safe
