Cold Hands, Warm Heart by Amanda Southern

Hi Everyone
This week I have been playing with another of the stamp sets
from AALL & Create that have recently arrived at That’s Crafty!
Here’s What I Did:
First I
had to prepare the Dinky MDF Upright, for this I used That’s Crafty! paints,
these paints have great coverage so I didn’t bother with a layer of gesso, I
also didn’t mind if the colour of the MDF showed through. Using a piece of cut
down washing up sponge as it gives great texture with the paint, you could use Cut
& Dry Foam, I randomly layered up Teal, Ice Blue and White. I also treated
the That’s Crafty! greyboard snowflakes in the same way other than they had a
little of the Metallic Blue added. When all the paint was dry I glued the Upright
together using Multi Purpose Glue. I then added the snowflakes using Multi Purpose
Glue on some and 3D Gel on the others.
Onto a
piece of stamping card I stamped the characters from the AALL and Create Stamp Set
#13, they were then coloured with coloured pencils. I then cut them out and
added them to the Ppright, again using Multi Purpose Glue.
The second little chap I wanted peeping over the top of the Upright
and made him a little heart to hang around his neck, this I just punched from
red card several times, glued together with black cotton in between so I could
hang it and edged with Vintage Photo Distress ink.
What I Used:
That’s Crafty! Multi Surface Paint – White, Teal, Metallic Ice Blue
Washing
up sponge or Cut & Dry Foam
Distress Inks – Vintage Photo, Iced Spruce

Have a fabulous week
