A Rose for You by Donna Gray

Hi
everyone,
Donna
here today with a CAS type Christmas card for you.
What I did:
I
used the That’s Crafty! greyboard Christmas Florals 2 for this and started to
paint them up after referring to a picture of a Christmas Rose on the internet!
I
used a mixture of That’s Crafty! own brand paints for this and edged the leaves
and rose with a tiny hint of a green Gelato.
I
wracked my brain for the centre of the flower and then remembered I have some
of the Tim Holtz flowers, which are just plain white so I coloured the stamens
in with a yellow pen.
After
a bit of doodling on the leaves with a white pen and a grey pencil for the
flower, I took my pokey tool and made a hole through the rose so I could thread
the stamens through.
Before
I adhered the rose to the card I used a green Distress Oxide and pounced it
through a Dinky stencil just to add a little detail to the background on the
Kraft card.
I
then put a little bit of cut twine on the card and then added the rose on top
of it.
To
add a finishing touch I added a Tim Holtz sentiment and there you have a simple
but effective CAS type Christmas card…..well that’s one more card I’ve made to
be crossed off my never ending list!!
Supplies Used:
That’s
Crafty! Paints (Shimmer and Multi Surface)
Grey
Pencil
Hope
you like it
