Seek Stillness by Lynne Moncrieff
11:00
A small
panel 7” x 3.5” featuring one of my most favourite stamps. Whenever I ink up this Character
Constructions stamp I find it to be such a peaceful image, it is as though it
radiates from the image. My Affirmation
seemed well suited to what this image means to me.
Supplies
Character Constructions Inner Child No. 7 (smallest image)
Infusions:
Black Knight, Rocky Road
Old
Paintbrush
Extras:
Re-cycled Mailing Box (corrugated cardboard), Teabag (x1), scraps of lace,
feather, wooden peg
Instructions
Tear piece
of corrugated cardboard. Apply Gesso to
panel. Before Gesso dries, sprinkle
Infusions onto panel, misting with water. Leave to dry, as it dries, you can apply more Gesso if required. Repeat this onto piece of cardboard paper or
other sturdy found paper. Once panel is
completely dry, apply rust finish to edge on right side.
Dry out
teabag. Take care to open bag at
seams. Stamp smaller image onto one
panel, stamping Affirmation onto second panel, tearing this panel in half.
Begin
to assemble, layering the prepared cardboard paper with scraps of various
lace. Onto this adhere stamped teabag,
lightly applying adhesive to top edge of teabag before. Once dry, use Tiny Attacher on upper
corner.
Attach
stamped Affirmation to panel with Tiny Attacher. Apply a wee amount of adhesive to lower
corner, place feather onto this. Finally, distress wooden peg with Gesso, clip onto right side, as though
holding feather in place.
Until
next time…
