Indoor Gardening by Rachel Harries
11:00I started off by adding art stones to some of the greyboard pieces.
I then ripped some pieces of teabag paper and adhered them to the flowers.
I added some art stones to the poppy centres.
I then painted these flowers with a combination of paints.
I added some detail in micron pen and white Posca pen and I used some wax around the edges.
I prepared the Upright and the resin pieces with some black gesso, I only painted the edges of the back plate as I will be adding paper to it.
I sprayed my greyboard selection of cogs and a clock with Ayeeda mists.
I took a toilet roll insert and cut two sections on smaller than the other and adhered the small to create a little interest I added some greyboard details and gessoed.
I adhered this to the base making sure to leave room for the back plate and added some art stones for extra interest, I added a little rusty colour paint just to start the process of getting it how I want it to look.
I then adhered some paper to the back plate not being too fussy and once the glue was dry I sanded the edges and went around the edge with some Walnut Stain Distress ink.
I adhered the back plate to the base.
Then I position the various element in a way that I find pleasing.
I paint some butterflies from AB Studio with some 13Arts Color Glow and adhere the butterflies.
I hope you enjoyed this project, I really enjoyed bringing a little bit of the outdoors in, stay safe and see you next week.

This is amazing piece, very well explained and loved the list at the end. I will have a go at that Rachel thank you.
ReplyDeleteAn absolutely stunning creation Rachel. So much amazing texture and detail and so clever to add the stones for such a wonderful effect. The bucket looks fabulous too and is very clever as well.
